Swan Lake Parks & Gardens
Located in the Swan Valley Mountains, the Swan River National Wildlife Refuge features a floodplain that was formed by glacial ice. Bird and wildlife viewing are popular activities within the refuge.
The 1,009,356 acre Bob Marshall Wilderness is located in Northwestern Montana just east of Bigfork. The Wilderness is noted for its excellent hunting, fishing, scenery, and geology. The area is highlighted by a huge escarpment known as the "Chinese Wall". The wall averages 1,000 feet in height and extends 22 miles along the Continental Divide. The Bob Marshall Wilderness Area is located in the Flathead, Lolo and Lewis and Clark National Forests in Montana. Activities include fishing, hiking and rafting.
