Interstate 90 is the longest interstate highway in the United States, stretching over 3,000 mi (4,800 km) from Boston, MA on the east coast to Seattle, WA on the west coast. The interstate passes through 15 states, several major US cities and crosses the Continental Divide of the Rocky Mountains in the state of Montana.

Seely-Swan Scenic Drive
This scenic drive stretches for 90 mi (145 km) along Highway 83 in western Montana from Seely to Swan Lake. The drive travels along a narrow, heavily forested valley and passes dozens of lakes of varying size. Fishing, hiking, snowmobiling and golfing are all popular activities in the area and a couple of waterfalls are favorite destinations along the drive.

Big Sheep Creek Medicine Lodge Backcountry Byway
The Big Sheep Creek - Medicine Lodge Backcountry Byway is a scenic drive through the backcountry of southwestern Montana. Stretching 50 miles on a two-lane gravel road, the road is accessible from May until October. The route offers views of the high cliffs of Big Sheep Canyon and visitors enjoy frequent views of trout from the car. When fences are encountered along the route, it is asked that visitors shut the gate once they drive through. There are no services along the Byway.

Beartooth Scenic Byway
This spectacular highway has been dubbed the most beautiful highway in America and winds between the northeastern entrance of Yellowstone Park and the town of Red Lodge. The scenic road, also referred to as the "Highway To The Sky", features several tight switchbacks as it climbs to 10,950 ft (3336 m) above sea level and is only open May through October due to heavy snowfall in winter months.

Pintler Scenic Highway
This highway is a scenic alternative to Interstate 90 between Butte and Missoula and passes between the Pintler and Flint Creek Mountains. The highway begins in the historic town of Anaconda and travels to Drummond, passing Georgetown Lake, the attractive town of Philipsburg and several gold rush ghost towns on the way.
