Buckeye Mine was an lode mine that was used throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Near the mine site on Galconda Creek are the remains of an old Spanish Arrastra, a crude mill for grinding gold ore, used by the mine’s first owners. This is an area where present day prospectors may be found.
