Beartooth Mountains
Located in south central Montana just north of Yellowstone National Park, the Beartooth Mountains are part of the huge Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness and are the largest contigious land mass in the US above 10,000 ft (3,048 m). The mountains, named for a rugged peak within the range which resembles a bear's tooth, are home to the Beartooth Scenic Byway, one of the country's most beautiful drives.
